Class 4 visited Segedunum Roman Fort, in Wallsend, as part of their Roman project.
They spent the morning in a workshop learning to be a Roman Soldier and all about the equipment they would use. In the afternoon they explored the remains of the fort and visited a piece of Hadrian's Wall. There was a reconstructed piece of the wall where they could pretend to be Roman Soldiers. They also visited the Museum to look at the artefacts that were found when the fort was excavated.
