Year 5 had a great time visiting York Castle Museum and Clifford's Tower as part of their History topic on 'Crime and Punishment.'
Year 5 had a great time visiting York Castle Museum and Clifford's Tower as part of their History topic on 'Crime and Punishment.'
The children went in cells once inhabited by prisoners; heard stories of some old inmates; researched the answers to enquiry questions; found out about the infamous highwayman, Dick Turpin; learnt about the history of Clifford's Tower and looked over the York skyline from the top of it.'
Thank you to all the children and adult helpers for a super trip.
