During our trip to Thirsk Racecourse, we had a lot of fun! 

The children got to experience what it was like to be a jockey, including being weighed and all the clothes and accessories the jockeys have to ride with. We got to look at where the horses went before and after the races including where they went to be paraded round. 

We got a special treat and were chosen to judge one of the parades!  One of the lovely jockeys spoke to us before the race and all the children were chanting her name during her race! 

It was a fantastic trip and we just want to say a huge thank you to the children for being superstars and the parent helpers for being amazing.
