Herriot Hospice - July 25

18 July 2025 (by admin)

The Yr 6 children have been taking part in a Community Arts Project with Thirsk Arts Society and Herriot Hospice at the Lambert in Thirsk. Rosie Page (James Herriot's daughter) came to talk to Class 6 the hospice and to thank them for their hard work.

Over the last few weeks the Year 6 children have been taking part in a Community Arts Project with the team at Thirsk Arts Society and the Herriot Hospice at the Lambert in Thirsk.  The work that the children did was phenomenal and we are so proud of them.  You will see it in the front of school if you call in.

Four children, Kuba, Phoebe, Ruby and Imogen, were chosen to have their specific pieces framed for the hospice, to be displayed in the Community Room.

All the artwork will be shown on a screen at the hospice, so everyone's work will be celebrated.  Children and families are welcome to visit the hospice on 3rd, 5th and 6th September where there will be reps from the Arts Society and hospice staff/volunteers will serve coffee/tea.

Yesterday, Rosie Page (James Herriot's daughter) came to talk to Class 6 about her involvement with the hospice and to thank them for their hard work.
